Grill accessories for the gas grill & Co: It's really worth it!

Whether you're a spontaneous weekend griller or a BBQ fan with real ambitions: With the right grilling accessories, you'll achieve the best results on the grill. What do you absolutely need, what's worth it for certain favourite recipes, and what extras will make the grilling season a highlight? Here's your guide to grill accessories for the gas grills, charcoal grills and the like.

All-rounder for every barbecue fan

You don't need much to get started at the grill. Charcoal grills or gas grills already come with the most important basics—depending on the product, even with plenty of accessories. To begin, you will need:

Man grilling meat, vegetables, and tomatoes on a barbecue, with a woman holding bread.

Grill tongs: You can't do anything on the grill without the grill tongs. Thanks to the extra-long handles and stable construction, you can place and remove food on the grill, turn it over, and move the coals. For optimal hygiene, two grill tongs are worthwhile—not only for charcoal and food, but also for meat and vegetables.

Grill thermometer: A thermometer is an important grilling accessory for steaks and other types of meat that should be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You can also use it to check if your grill is at the optimal temperature before you put the food on it.

Grill knife & grill fork: A sharp knife is an essential part of any good kitchen—and it's equally indispensable for grilling meat, vegetables and the like. A large grilling fork can hold the meat while cutting or help with turning and transporting it.

Grill accessories for sparkling clean results: Caring for your grill is easy

You don't need much equipment to care for your grill and grate—thanks to pyrolysis! This process harnesses the power of the grill fire: The food residue burns off the grate because the organic components decompose into ash at high temperatures. It's always a good idea to clean the grill while it's still slightly warm. But be careful not to burn yourself! These three helpers are suitable for grill care, for example:

- For more stubborn residue, a grill cleaning brush is recommended. The metal bristles effortlessly pick up the residue.

- Aluminium foil is a common sight when grilling anyway. You can also use it for cleaning. Simply crumple it into a ball and run it over the grate! This helps with the light soiling.

- If you want to clean the gas grill burners, use a plastic spatula. It does not damage the material. If you use the cleaning agents, always make sure that the formula is suitable for the material of the grill. Remove all residue thoroughly and let everything dry completely before firing up the grill again.
