Terms and Conditions and data protection for “Lidl Kids Team” Prize draw.

I. Terms and Conditions

The prize draw is organized by LIDL Cyprus, 2 Pigasou Str, CY- 7100 Aradippou, Larnaca, CY 30010823A. Participation in the prize draw will exclusively subject to the conditions listed here.

1. Eligibility to participate

Eligible to participate are Lidl Plus users residing in Cyprus who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation and are under Cypriot legislation the legal guardians of a child who is between 6 and 10 years old (“represented child”) during the period of the European Men’s Football Championship from 14 June 2024 to 14 July 2024 (hereinafter also referred as “UEFA EURO 2024TM”).

Participation in the prize draw requires the following:

• Availability to travel to Germany for a football match during the UEFA EURO 2024TM of the represented child and the participant (alternatively another legal guardian) (stay of at least two nights),

• Possession of valid travel documents for the participant (alternatively another legal guardian) and the represented child in the event of a win.

2. Exclusion of participants

Participation is only possible in the own name. In the event of multiple entries or false information provided when registering, participant may be excluded from the competition. Employees of Lidl Cyprus and all Schwarz Group companies are excluded from participating in the draw.

3. Participation in the prize draw in Lidl Plus

Participation in the prize draw is free of charge and is in favor of the represented child. It is possible within the period from Thursday 07.03.2024 until Wednesday 01.05.2024. The user can

click on the UEFA EURO 2024TM banner, which leads to the prize draw and can be viewed on the home section of the Lidl Plus app. By ticking the checkbox and clicking the “JOIN NOW” button, the Lidl Plus user enters the prize draw.

The participant will then see his/her account information (name, telephone number, e-mail, address) stored in the My Lidl Account, which will be used for the prize draw. This information can be changed afterwards until the end of the prize draw. The account information can be viewed via the Lidl Plus app under “More” - “My Lidl Account” – “Personal Details”.

4. End of the period for participation in the prize draw

Participation is possible up to and including Wednesday 01.05.2024. The electronically logged time of receipt of the data record of the declaration of participation in the system is decisive.

5. Prizes

The participant can win a place for the represented child as a player escort as part of the official UEFA Player Escort Program at UEFA EURO 2024TM match in Germany. The winner’s child will accompany a football player of one of the participation teams onto the pitch at a UEFA EURO 2024TM match. The exact date and allocation of a match at which the child will run in will be made after the winners have been drawn. The represented child who will run in with the players will be provided with a uniform (consisting of shorts, shirt, socks and shoes) by Lidl, which will be word on the day of the match. The represented child will also receive additional clothing (hoodie, windbreaker, shirt) and the prize also includes the following items:

• Outward and return journey from an already selected airport in the country of residence of the winner (alternatively another legal guardian) and the represented child to Germany to the assigned match location on the communicated date.

• Transfer to the hotel and back to the airport.

• Transfer to the stadium and return to the hotel.

• Two nights' accommodation within the period of the allocated match in a double room in a 3 or 4-star hotel near the match venue.

• Catering for the duration of the trip on site in Germany (dinner on the day of arrival, breakfast at the hotel, meals throughout the day in the form of snacks, dinner). Additional meals are not included (e.g., additional catering at the stadium).

• Transfer to the stadium and back to the hotel.

• Category 2 tickets for the winner (alternatively another legal guardian) and the represented child for the match in which the child is the player escort.

• Any other provision/expense/cost other than those mentioned above shall be borne by the traveler.

The winner has no influence on which match the child will be allocated to as a player escort. Further details (including the itinerary) will be communicated after the prize draw.

6. Draw and notification of winners

A total of ten (10) winners and an equal number of ten (10) alternate winners will be drawn. The winners will be determined by drawing lots from among the participants in a closed meeting and in the presence of a notary. The draw will take place on Wednesday 08.05.2024.

All winners will then be notified by e-mail to the address provided by Wednesday 15.05.2024. at the latest. With the notification of the prize, the winner will receive a personalized link that leads to a further registration platform outside of Lidl Plus. There, the winner will be asked to provide or submit the required details of the represented child and the participant as well as the requested information and documents (e.g., travel authorization for the child). A person other than the participant can also be specified as the legal guardian who is to accompany the represented child on their trip to Germany, as long as he has the status of legal guardian according to Cypriot legislation. It is the responsibility of the participant to inform this other person of the conditions listed here. The Organizer reserves the right to require confirmation of the guardianship relationship through the submission of necessary legal (e.g. birth certificate, court order, etc.). Failure to provide them or to confirm the guardianship relationship through these documents will disqualify the participant or the other person as aforementioned from the prize without retaining any right to compensation or other satisfaction from the Organizer.

If the winner does not respond within 3 working days of notification, the claim to the prize will lapse and it will be given to the first replacement winner. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the e-mail address provided. Cash payment of prizes, payment in kind or exchange of prizes is not possible.

7. Final provisions

Lidl Cyprus retains the right to postpone, revoke, extend, or modify this prize draw only if there is a serious reason or such directive from a public authority. It also has the authority to cancel entries that offend its image, good morals and customs, public decency, etc. The Organizer may, at its absolute discretion, cancel any entry it deems to be the product of illegal technical influence or generally fraud or unfair interference by the participant or a third party.

Participation in this prize draw implies full knowledge and unconditional acceptance of all these terms of participation and the terms of use of the Lidl Plus application available within the app, as well as the subsequent waiver by participants of any related claim, demand, and right against the Organizer. Moreover, participation in the prize draw and the acceptance of prizes by the winners automatically constitutes a declaration of the organizer's exemption from any liability without any limitation. The Organizer shall not be liable in any way for any indirect or direct damage resulting from participation in the prize draw or from the inability to access the Internet server, unless caused by gross negligence or malice on the part of the Organizer. Τhe Organizer bears no responsibility for any potential quality problem/defect of the prizes, which is attributable to the supplier – manufacturing company or arose during their production stage. It is also not liable for any potential quality problem of the prizes that occurred after their delivery to the lucky winner.

These terms are governed and interpreted in accordance with Cypriot law. All disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nicosia.

The present terms governing the prize draw are submitted to the law firm of L. PAPAFILIPOU & Co., 17 Iphigenia Street, 2007 Strovolos, telephone 22271000 (Responsible lawyer Valiantis Georgios) where each interested party can take note of them, at his/her own expense.

II. Data protection policy

1. Details of the data controller

Lidl Cyprus is the controller for the processing of personal data of the participants and winners. Lidl Cyprus has appointed a data protection officer who is available under dataprotection@lidl.com.cy.

2. Categories and origin of the data

In order to operate the prize draw, Lidl Cyprus receives the following personal data from Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG, Stiftsbergstraße 1, 74167 Neckarsulm, Germany (“Lidl Stiftung”):

- Customer ID of all participants in the prize draw,

- in addition, first name and surname as well as telephone number and e-mail address of the winners.

3. Purposes and legal bases of processing

Lidl Cyprus will use the personal data collected in the context of the participation in the prize draw only in order to operate the prize draw (e.g., drawing winners, notifying winners, sending the prize). The legal basis for the processing in the context of prize draws is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. This also includes the transfer of the personal data listed under section 2 to Lidl Cyprus. Without this data, a participation in the prize draw is not possible.

As part of the prize, photographs or videos may be taken of the winner and the represented child. For this purpose, the winner, as the legal guardian of the represented child, must give their consent to Lidl Cyprus in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

In the event that consent is given in the context of this prize draw, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR is the legal basis for any data processing carried out on the basis of such consent. Photographs or videos in connection with the prize may be published together with the name and home town of the winner in promotional media of the organizer (e.g., press release, www.lidl.com.cy, employee magazine, Facebook). This data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The organizer has a legitimate interest in promoting itself and its prize draws; in addition, there is a public interest (in particular on the part of the other participants) to see that the prize draw is taking place and prizes are being won.

If data processing is based on consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. The revocation leads to the deletion of the data already collected. Nevertheless, it should be noted that if consent is withdrawn for the represented child to be photographed and filmed during a UEFA EURO 2024 match, the participation of the represented child will be excluded.

4. Recipients / categories of recipient:

Data is only transferred to third parties where this is necessary for the implementation of the prize draw (e.g., further organization of the prize by Lidl Stiftung and by the Union des associations européennes de football (hereinafter also referred to as “UEFA”) or in order to publish the winners (e.g., on Facebook). Apart from that, we do not transfer the data to third parties.

In addition, Lidl Cyprus and partner companies may collect further personal data directly from the winners as part of the prize draw that is required to send or hand over the prize. Please refer to the separate data protection policy on the registration platform.

5. Storage time/ criteria for determining storage time:

At the end of the prize draw and announcement of the winners, the personal data of participants will be deleted. The data of the winners will be stored for the duration of legal and contractual claims in the case of prizes.

6. Rights of data subjects

The participant and the represented child have the right to obtain information, free of charge, about the personal data stored about them. In addition, both have the right to demand the rectification , the deletion or restriction of processing of their personal data as well as the right to receive the data in question in a structured format. The participant and the represented child have the right at any time to object to data processing that is necessary in order to protect legitimate interests of Lidl Cyprus or a third party. If consent has been given in the context of this prize draw, it can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Moreover, the participant and the represented child may contact the data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their place of residence or the location where the alleged breach took place.
